Taken on Christmas Eve in Old Town

We went to Old Town last night to see the luminaria there – it was a beautiful display! The whole neighborhood becomes bathed in a golden light. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Could have been a farmer’s wife,
moved a simple mile from my parent’s home,
watched those green fields forever
I was an artist’s wife,
the muse without a thing to call my own,
placed on a shelf with all the other pretty things
Now I am me – growing in the bright blue New Mexico sky.
Now I am a partner – not just a wife.
Now I am a mother – marveling at the children whom I birthed.
Now I have my own vision.
And I’m nurturing it in the bright blue New Mexico sky.

Actually she’s my boss’ daughter, waiting while we were checking out the new space of one of our clients. She was bored, so I asked her to be my model as things were wrapping up. Go Josie!

Found a cool new party to join – it’s called Mosaic Monday and you can go here to see more mosaics! Mine are all from our visit to the “River of Lights” at the Botanic Gardens – our first time doing this and it will definitely be on our list for next year!!

We went on a shopping expedition today. Walked into Nob Hill and bummed around. I love a white Christmas as much as the next person. But, I really LOVE being able to stroll around without a coat a week before Christmas – it was in the low 50s today and it rocked!!
