Hola, welcome to the new blog – I should stay parked here a while – consolidating my website and blog into one place to save some money. I’ll probably be using the raineworks doman as a website and keep this as the blog. We’ll see – I seem to be bloghopping a lot!

This lovely lady is my latest Familia de Burque piece. The building in the back is in Port Townsend, WA – I took it while I was attending Artfest two years ago. The title is “Crossing Over” and she seems to be crossing from one world to the next (Burque to Port Townsend, life to death, her reality to our reality) and she has the power lines crossing right through her.

Had a little fun with this one!!!I was playing around with some new PS brushes and this is what came out of it! I call it “Boys just want to be (with) boys!” Dedicated to my brother-in-law and his partner – who should be married – but don’t live it a state where it’s legal.

Love this guy – so self-assured!

Getting ready for my show – I actually just bought a new printer – it’s an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 – and I love it! Getting stuff to my framer on Saturday. It so amazing when I print my stuff – I’m so used to see it on small computer screens – when I seem it IRL and 12 x 18 it rocks my world all over again.

Falling in Love all over again

I’m going through my glass negative images – preparing for my show in July. And, though I should be just choosing images and hitting print, I’m falling in love again and editing and cropping and reimagining and I don’t know how I’m going to be able to stop!! Here’s what I did tonight-

I’m itching to go on a road trip – just got off the phone with Chris and we’re going to Taos for the day tomorrow!!!!! YAY!!! I want to go to the Harwood Museum and La Hacienda de Los Martinez and then we’ll wing it from there.

I worked at The Wooden Cow all day yesterday (unexpectedly) so didn’t put up a photo for Vintage Photo Friday – so I’m pulling one out of the archives.

This is from my collection of Albuquerque Glass Negatives. I love the twins! I am having a solo show at the Cow in July and will be showing my glass negative pieces. I’m so excited to share them with the world!
