I am very bad at band photography. I get frustrated with all of the wires and equipment, the weird lighting, too much commotion. I went to a music festival at the beginning of October with the kids. It was held at the park that is just four blocks away from us. I took a lot of photos, but was generally unhappy with them and set them aside.
Today I started playing with them. First I cleaned up the backgrounds so that they were flat (or nearly so). This was a lot of work but felt soooo good, like giving your house a really good deep clean. Then paying with layers I came up with these posterized portraits. Loving them!
