December Views – 12/19/09

We went on a shopping expedition today. Walked into Nob Hill and bummed around. I love a white Christmas as much as the next person. But, I really LOVE being able to stroll around without a coat a week before Christmas – it was in the low 50s today and it rocked!!

December Views – Going old school

sunlitflowers

This is an old December pic – from 2007 to be exact. It’s from one of my favorite cemeteries in NM, it’s in Bernalillo,it’s right off of I-25. And below is a “reflected” view – this is one of the first things I played with in Photoshop back in 2000 – I loved flipping images and creating digital Rorschach tests.

hopperatharwood_Raine-Klover-0910and the most amazing things come up.  I took this photo at the Harwood Museum in Taos earlier this year and posted about our trip there on my blog.  Now this photo is on one of the artists website.  With a photo credit.  Kinda cool, kinda weird.

My favorite westside tree – it’s near the volcanoes. Making the clarification as my absolute favorite tree is on the Low Road to Taos right before you arrive in Taos. And one of my other favorite trees is actually right next door.  It’s a pecan tree which reminds my of childhood in Lousiana – we grew up in a old pecan grove – I think at times my brother and I lived off  pecans. I call it “Betty’s Tree” even though my neighbor, Betty, passed away before Katie was even born(god, is that possible, has so much time passed?).

One can never have too many favorite trees.

My boos posed for an impromptu photo session while jumping on our unmade bed. These two know how to pose for a picture!
