I am lucky enough that I get to see your art every day. DO NOT CHANGE! If you start showing me kitten and flowers I will take away the camera.

Then you MUST-MUST-MUST photograph what you love. No one has the right to say otherwise, and I hope they don't!

You should only take images of what you love. That love will show through and speak to people. Your photos are beautiful and haunting and they stick with the viewer.
One of the things I learned when i worked in a frame shop is that there is an audience for everything. And I mean, everything. It's just a matter of finding them.
Keep doing what makes your heart sing. That's all that matters.

My father used to tell me I needed to paint realism, because that's what sold, and he was right. I know someone who once dated a Chinese artist living here in Texas who would always put a small bluebonnet in the corner of his gigantic abstracts because he said that's what sold. He was right also. I still paint what I paint & I'm still not making a living at it, and I wonder all the time should I? Should I? What to do, what to do? I love these images you've posted, and perhaps that's the problem. Me not making a living at what I paint means I have no money to buy what I like from you, and the circle goes round & round. But I had an art professor in college who said you should never paint "down" to people - you should never paint (or in your case, photograph) using the lowest common denominator; you should elevate people's tastes. Does that make any sense? :) Anyway, I think these are wonderful images.
