Possibly my favorite photo from our roadtrip last weekend – although I have so many that I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I feel like I’ve gotten my mojo back – photography-wise. Been so busy getting the Cow open that I haven’t had much time to actually make art/take photos. More are on my Flickr.

So we left at 7:30pm on Friday on an impromptu roadtrip an just got back two hours ago – I’ve been madly editing photos since then – and am about to go out for a drink with friends – so here’s a teaser shot and short story – my Katie girl has just started “seeing” shapes in the clouds – it happened as we were coming back home today. She would point at the sky and say “puppy! puppy!” – it was too cute!

Walking around the block with 2-year-old and a four-year-old can be mind-numbingly long on bad days – and full of fun and wonder and exploration on good days. Yesterday was a good day as we shared that walk with our friends who live two doors down from us. Here is a pic of our fearless leader – at times it was a struggle to keep up with this girl – she’s one and half and just recently figured out that she can go FAST!!

Punk Rock Cheerleader
The WVU Mountaineers are playing on Thursday – we will be cheering for them then – and yesterday the kiddos wore their WVU gear out and about. They’ll be wearing it again on Thursday!

I took this photo a while back at a hotel that was being torn down near us. I loved that these roses were blooming while all this destruction was happening around them – I’m not really a flower person – but I felt those sturdy blooms needed to be recorded. Ran into the image today and felt that I needed to add some of my personality to it – and so for your viewing pleasure a “gothic rose”.
Hard at work at the Wooden Cow Gallery – it fills my days, my nights, and my dreams – and should be open next week! More on that later.
