This image just won honorable mention in the Local IQ magazine! It’s on newstands around Albuquerque now – my friend Sharon also won honorable mention – her Flickr tag is Bloomgal.
I also had the 8 x 8 opening last night – it was great – we got a lot of support from friends and family – and a lot of sales – none for me though – I think my price point was a little high compared to the others – lots of great feedback though and made a connection person who runs the gallery and leases studio spaces there.
After I went out with my friends and neighbors – Sarah, Alexis, and Ramon and ended the evening at Burt’s Tiki Lounge.

I love the chairs! The more I looked at the picture, the more I envisioned how different people would look all stuck together in a row like that, just sitting in them. Good work!
