Waterline

This is one of my glass negatives, superimposed over the causeway that crosses Lake Ponchatrain connecting New Orleans to Mandeville, LA. I lived in Mandeville in 2002. The image is from one negative – lots of the negatives I have have two or more separate sittings.

Life has been so busy lately – I’m working full time and Chris has been working seven days a week all of September! Needless to say – artmaking has fallen by the wayside. I just made this image today and it’s the first time in FOREVER that I’ve even opened Photoshop.

October looks like it will be a good month though – Chris is only working one weekend. And I’ve already filled the other weekends with many art-related things including going to a gallery opening on Friday and Paula’s for a reception for our yearlong shrine round robin on Sunday. And balloon fiesta is next weekend – hoping to go to that also.

WOW – that’s powerful! Coincidentally, several people in my latest class in Maryland were from the New Orleans area; people from there are still devastated by Katrina. Glad you’re back on the blog again.
